The will to live and enjoy life

Many people don’t realize the value of the human will to live. A few years ago I took a training course in Search and Rescue, and they taught that the number one factor for survival in the wilderness is the will to live. This takes precedence over air, shelter, water, and food. When you haven’t got the will to live, you won’t find the resources to survive a dire situation.
